Post Guild Charter
THE CHARTER OF THE MOST HOLY LUMINOUS PATH
THAT LEADS THE RIGHTEOUS INTO THE FOLD
OF THE INNER CELESTIAL KINGDOM

1. Purpose

The Luminous Path, in militant Opposition to the Alliance, the Scourge, and every other Threat to the natural Order of the World, is established to realize the Visions of its Founders and to secure a better Future for Azeroth in its natural State.

The Luminous Path is a Horde guild on Defias Brotherhood Europe. Our purpose is to achieve four things:

    • A social atmosphere with its own very distinct character, one that is cool, one that is relaxed and respectful, one that has style and intellect.

    • A player base that is active--online a lot--and diverse: from lots of different countries, of different ages and walks of life, and with a healthy proportion of women.

    • Constant success at the actual game we're playing here: In WoW, unlike Dwarf Fortress, winning is more fun than losing.

    • A good reputation on the server as a guild that supports RP, has members who are good to the people they meet, participates in world events, and attracts people who want to enjoy WoW like we do.

2. Culture

After setting foot on the Luminous Path, we will treat our sworn brothers as our own kin. May we suffer death by five thunderbolts if we do not keep this oath.

Limited hierarchy. There are few officers, and no class leaders. Officers are there to play an organizing and coordinating role, but they are not kings or gods. Some members have higher rank, but this is a reward for loyalty and effort, not a mark of superiority. All members of the Path are equal contributors with equal status, whether they've been here for one day or since day one.

Shared effort. We welcome discussions, contributions, critiques, suggestions, and strategies from every member, especially in PvE raid situations but also about more fundamental questions, e.g. of guild management. Again, raid leaders have to keep things organized and have the final say for the group to function, but everyone is invited and encouraged to speak their mind.

Fair rewards. A universal, neutral loot distribution system that ignores guild rank, personal relationships, and everything, really, except for this: what you get out of raids is proportionate to what you put in.

Friendship and mutual support. Our conduct standards are very, very high: markedly different from many guilds, and entire worlds away from what passes for acceptable in the larger WoW community. Members of the Path are called upon to swallow their pride and support and look for the best in one another: to give praise and criticism decently and to accept it gracefully.

3. Leaders

The Route of the Path is the Vision of its Founder, the elven Priest Thoradiel Lightrider. First along it walks the Dragon Head. His Roar is a Flood, his Mouth is Fire, and his Breath is Death.

The Luminous Path is headed by Thórva (the nominal guild leader), Ekhan, Zalmoxis, and Kekrops. In some form or another, we've been playing games together for over twenty years.

No one else is in charge or has the authority to speak for the guild. You may always come to us with your problems, concerns, suggestions, or just for more information. Our guiding principle is fair, intelligent, benign dictatorship: we're not a democracy. (We're a cheerocracy.)

4. Amendments

Above mentioned leaders are resigned. The info on tab 1 & 2 still applies while tab 3 is the following:

Vedder(guild leader)
Savian
Jotra
Arache

LOK'TAR OGAR!

THÓRVA Lightrider
EKHAN Wildmane
ZALMOXIS
KEKROPS
