Luminous Path

 With the guild blog back online, here comes an entry put together from out fellow Boomkin. Enjoy!

Not to many days ago I finished the legendary questline for the
Dragonwrath, Tarecgosa's Rest. It has been a long journey which started a
few months back when Luminous Path decided to venture into Ragnaros
domain Firelands. Like I said this journey has taken a lot of time to
finish both from myself and the guild, especially since we are raiding
10man. The amount of hours we have put into the process of getting this
staff is mindbottling. But all the time invested makes it so much more
sweet to get, like the feeling of getting a legendary should feel. Not
just a random bossdrop.
I would like to thank everyone who has
been involved with this legendary quest. It's a really nice feeling when
the whole guild gets exited about me getting the staff. That tells me
that I'm not the only one having fun and appreciate these moments.

...We learned Staghelm that lesson on our second attempt. With a raid that was at first dedicated to get only him down, we succeded with that plan pretty fast so there really was only one option left and that was to try out the endboss Ragnaros.
With some "unprepared" tactic talk and some firesurfing our best attempt for that night showed his health bar at 54%. We enter this weeks lockout with our heads turned towards a completion of tier12 normal mode.

Like the headline hints we came to another Firelands raid yesterday with the hopes of doing some fun progress on Majordomo Staghelm. Even though killing the gatekeeper let's you walk through the gate there's a pretty nasty fall if you don't defeat the preceding bosses.
We had to turn our heads to the fire bird Alysrazor instead and after little more than an hour of attempts on "Birdie" we saw it faced down on the ground.
5 down 2 more to go.

We had heard rumours that Baleroc the Gatekeeper should be an easy challenge, someone even stated that the mobs infront of him was harder than the fight itself. Truth be told... he was one of the easiest bosses yet in this expansion. We managed to fail horribly on a lot of attempts though but once we got our strategy put together we easily breezed through it.
With this recent accomplishment we are now 4 out 7 and will march through the gate where Majordomo Staghelm awaits his faith.

After silencing the words of Nefarian the world of
Azeroth faces yet again a new threat when Ragnaros and his followers invades
the surface bringing flame and devastation.

Luminous Path answers the cry for help and ventures
into the Firelands...

Even though we are currently in Summer mode that
doesn't seem to stop the hungry people in this guild. We all want to save
Azeroth and we want to do it now!

Last night we managed to bring down 2 of the 7
bosses. Both Beth'tilac and Shannox went
down and I'm sure more bosses will add to that list in the coming weeks.

In the past raids, before setting the difficulty down to farmlevel, we've done some tries on Halfus heroic. We've always had some attempts that's been a close kill.
Last night on heroic mode we thought "Hey, he's not that tough" Let's grab the achievment as well...

Our first Cataclysm heroic boss is hereby dead and another achievment was also added to the list.

Not much to say about Al'akir. We killed him some weeks ago but forgot to take a picture after we. were done.
So on our second kill we lined up for the picture...

We managed to down Cho'gall in our last raid which means that 1 of 3 endbosses is down which concludes the Bastion of Twilight normal mode chapter. Heroic mode for everyone!
The challange that was Cho'gall was quite easily swept away on our second progressraid devoted to him with some time on the clock to spare even, which we used to practice our next target Al'Akir. From what we saw of that fight we think he will join Cho'gall on our "Conquered list" relatively soon.

After one-shoting all of our farm bosses (except Omnotron lol!) we set out the next day for some progress bosses...  A blind dragon and a massively deadly dragon were our targets. While the blind dragon should sound like the easier fight we struggled with it the most and with only half the raid alive we managed to finish it of.
After a few attempts on Chimaeron we decided to run with 4 healers and on the second attempt with that composition we got the kill as well as the awesome achievment.
We now turn our heads towards the three end bosses, where Cho'gall drew the shortest straw.
